Potassium chloride

Potassium chloride (potassium chloride, KCl) is an inorganic compound containing potassium (K⁺) and chlorine (Cl-) ions. It is colorless or white crystals, well soluble in water. Its main use is in agriculture as a potassium fertilizer that improves plant growth and resistance. It is also used in medicine to replenish potassium deficiency in the body, in the food industry as a food additive (E508), and in industry - in the production of potassium salts and other chemical compounds. Potassium chloride is stable, easy to store and transport.
