Ammonium chloride
Ammonium chloride (ammonium chloride, NH₄Cl) is an inorganic compound containing ammonium ion (NH₄⁺) and chlorine ion (Cl-). It is a white crystalline substance, well soluble in water. It is used in metallurgy as a flux for soldering and tinning, in electroplating as a component of electrolytes, and in agriculture as a nitrogen fertilizer. It is used in the food industry as additive E510, as well as in medicine as part of expectorants. Due to its chemical properties, ammonium chloride is widely demanded in various industries.
